Take Part

We invite all schools, colleges, community groups, artists, drummers, dancers and organisations working with young people to be part of our 2022 Mardi Gras: Our World Our Future
The event is professionally managed and fully supported throughout, including access to workshops and training, cost price purchasing of materials, and lots of help on the day. We share all our risk assessments and detailed event planning information to groups taking part and host a leaders’ Briefing approximately 10 days prior to the event.
To be in the parade you must fit into our theme and our narrative. In 2022 we are presenting a parade that focuses on sustainable development, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and links to local themes around the Biosphere Reserve.
You must pre-register your entry with us. Contact us for more information and links to our detailed list of topics to choose from to develop with your group within the overall theme.
If you don’t belong to a group or carnival club but want to take part in the parade, contact us and we will signpost you to one if we can. We also need adult dancers/performers for our own in-house costumes section. Experience not necessary but enthusiasm and energy is!
We also welcome volunteers behind the scenes, so if you don’t want to perform but can spare some time, we are always needing extra pairs of hands to make or repair costumes, and/or help with site duties at the event.
