The Coaching House

We are based at The Coaching House in Union Road, Ryde, former home to Queen Victoria’s horses and carriages during her frequent visits to the Island. She would have almost certainly have used these facilities for her attendance at the first Island Carnival in 1887! The building retains much of its former character with original features protected and preserved as part of its recent conversion, thanks to a grant from Heritage Lottery fund. We are delighted to be the first tenants in this wonderfully inspiring space.
The accommodation comprises a ground floor multipurpose teaching, meeting and workshop space, private kitchen and toilets plus a light and airy mezzanine and spacious office accommodation. It is fully accessible throughout.
You can find us just 3 minutes’ walk from the end of Ryde Pier, a mere stone’s throw from all transport connections to the mainland and to other parts of the Island via Fastcat and Hovertravel services, Ryde Bus Station and Islandline trains.

We welcome visitors at any time but please do phone first before you set off as we may have other parties in.
